Let me start with...this was worth EVERY penny. Mark came out after we found what we thought was settling in our guest bathroom. We had the foundation man come out and the estimate was...wow. I decided to do some confirmation thus my reaching out to Lange and Mark (The AI suggested them take that how you will I think its marvelous) and apparently the area is not going down its going UP due to clay heaving. Once I had that data I had an AH HA moment of the cause. So gutters and a French drain should solve our problems. Thank you Mark and thank you Lange Engineering. First off, If you're only thinking about getting a structural engineer, do it. As a first time homeowner, it's the best money I've spent on my house so far. And when you hire an engineer, go with Lange. Choosing them was a shot in the dark, based off reviews and what seems to be fair pricing. As for the inspection experience, Eric did an excellent job with my foundation project. He and his assistant were prompt, courteous, thorough, and very helpful. Although it's outside their scope, they even verbally noted that there may be termite activity and suggested a termite inspection. His report and graphics came back the same day and were detailed yet pretty easy to understand to a layperson. That said, I had two rounds of follow up questions, spanning two weeks and he patiently answered all of them. I felt prepared to move on to the next step of finding a foundation repair contractor. Eric gave me the names of two companies, but only AFTER I asked him. The third company that I contacted on my own also happened to list Lange Engineering as one of their trusted vendors. I'm very please with the work, and I highly recommend this company.

Eric is excellent at what he does. I am a real estate agent here in Dallas and Eric is my go-to for residential foundation evaluations. He takes a very pragmatic and consistent approach to each job. Never an alarmist but always with an attention to detail that only an engineer could have. We have worked together for years and his reports have been huge variables in my client's decision to buy a home. If you need an expert, Eric is the right guy to call!
